Green & wild's began in 2010, but for founders John & Alex, it's been a lifelong passion...

Born animal and nature lovers, they have channeled their passions into creating eco-friendly, natural and sustainable toys, treats and chews, that contribute to the health and happiness of dogs, cats and now horses lives, all whilst treading lightly on the planet we love and respect.

A note from John & Alex

As dog owners and lovers, we know how important your pets wellbeing is. That's why we created a brand that only ever uses honest and natural ingredients, that have a huge range of health benefits for pets, support a healthy gut microbiome and are responsibly sourced.

As a family we get so much joy from playing with our dogs, and we want people to share that joy, whilst having piece of mind that no microplastics are being released, and that their toy won't take millions of years to break down at the end of its life.

We started Green & Wild's because we love dogs, animals and our planet, and we don't think anyone should have to choose between the three. If it makes animals happy, and leaves the Earth a little better, then we've done our job.

We love a good story

2006 – Antler Dog Shoes

Alex’s brother had just come back from Canada and said, “Have you seen these antler dog chews?” John (clearly in need of a hearing test) thought he said, “antler dog shoes.” Cue visions of Retrievers strutting down the street in antler stilettos. (We’re still waiting for Paris Fashion Week to call.)

2007 – G&W's Begins

When it finally clicked that it was chews, not shoes, Alex and John loved the idea even more. They rushed off to buy one for Ollie, their faithful shoe-destroying sidekick. But there was a snag… no one sold them in the UK. So John thought, “Fine, I’ll bring them here myself.” And just like that, Green & Wild’s was born.

2009 – Tasty Treats

Fast forward a couple of years, hundreds of dogs had happily chomped our chews, while thousands of shoes were spared. (Sorry again, shoe industry.) But Ollie wasn’t done. He wanted tastier, healthier goodies. Alex and John wanted the same, but shelves were full of processed, unnatural stuff. So they created simple whole food recipes Ollie (and plenty of pups) could enjoy.

2010 – Eco Toys

Around this time, John was making little characters from recycled materials, often from Wiltshire Scrap Store, with his young kids. They loved dreaming up fun names, and Ollie loved getting his paws on them too. That sparked an idea. John wanted to bring these characters to life—without adding to the mountain of plastic dog toys that break in no time. So he set out to design something tough, fun, and biodegradable: Eco Toys!

2018 – Obi Arrives

Enter Obi, Ollie’s loyal sidekick and partner in crime. Ollie had long been chief taster, but Obi quickly claimed the role of chief player. If a toy could be chewed, tugged, or tossed, Obi was on the case, making sure every design was as fun as it was tough.

Present Day

As the years went by, we decided dogs shouldn’t have all the fun, so we began sharing the same love with cats too. Our collections grew, our characters multiplied, and so did our team. Ollie, our original taste-tester, is no longer with us, but he lives on in our memories and in the heart of every product we make. By 2023, we’d outgrown our first warehouse and moved into a bigger, brighter one—the new home of all things Green & Wild’s. From chews to treats to eco toys, our mission remains the same: to make pets happy with honest, healthy goodies that don’t cost the Earth.
